The third week of my detox from sugar, alcohol and caffeine, I was extremely irritable. I was working out three to four times a week and my clothes became tighter. One day, I was unable to button my two percent spandex jeans. How could this be?

Let me tell ya, I was not happy!
To my relief, I had an acupuncture appointment scheduled with Elisabeth Elzey. She advised I incorporate alcohol back into my routine. I’m sure she is unaware of the amount I consumed. She explained alcohol helps to relax and minimize stress and therefore the body’s cortisol levels are reduced preventing weight gain in the midsection and thighs. I will follow my acupuncturist’s orders and drink a glass or a bottle of wine a night.
Don’t stress your body out with restrictions. Apparently, a little bit of a good thing is a good thing.
